The
Righteous Wrath Motto
·
Honour: Play in a style that you
would want others to play with you.
· Honesty: Play with integrity
and honestly.
· Humility: Play with compassion,
and remember that we were all new once too.
· Humour: Play with a sense of
humor. It is a game after all, have fun.
First let me welcome you to our humble little site. First and foremost we are a
group of players out to have some fun. We encourage fun and reward those that
do things to make everyone's gaming experience more enjoyable. You will not
need permission to lead your own quests, make your own friends, or do your own
thing as long as it doesn't violate our rules (to follow). We really try to
maintain a family where no one is ignored and feels part of the sect.
We purposely
leave our site open to anyone, so that they may see what we are up to and get a
feel for the type of people in the sect. We have nothing to hide here. So,
please browse our site and forums, but remember that anyone can join and may or
may not be part of the guild.
Now all that
being said we find we must lay down some ground rules. We are a group of
"do-gooders" if you will, and thus our rules are basic common sense for that
type of play style. We'll list the fundamentals next, but remember some rules
are flexible in certain circumstances, while others are written in stone.
Basically, if you are uncertain, simply ask yourself if you would want it done
to you.
1) PVP: We are
not a primary PVP group in the games we play. This does not mean you are not
allowed to PVP, it simply means that we value questing and cooperation over it.
So, feel free as long as you follow the other rules of the sect.
2) Language: All
general chat must be clean chat, no exceptions. (Plus most games will ban you
anyways, so always a good policy.) When in groups or in clan chats, just know
who you are with and ere on the side of caution.
3) Stealing:
Knowingly deceiving or lying in trades will not be tolerated. Just because you
can do something, does not mean you should do something. You will be banned
immediately!
4) Griefing: This
can take form in many ways and includes activities such as:
1) Dragging mobs
onto other players with the intent to get them killed or saving yourself at the
expense of others. You got yourself into the mess, so you must deal with it,
not make others pay for your mistakes.
2) Kill stealing
or leeching xp from someone's kill. This is considered incredibly rude in MMO's
(Massively Multiplayer Online games) and in not tolerated by us. If someone is
attacking something you must be totally hands off unless that person requests
help. Please do things such as heal or buff them though, this will not only put
you in a good light, it is a great way to make friends as well.
3) Being rude
and/or obnoxious in order to disrupt other players trying to talk or play (I
know this one is vague, but I'm sure you all know what I mean). These actions
are rude and you will be booted from the sect.
5) Quest Jumping:
This is when someone joins a group only to fulfill there own objectives and
then leaves as soon as they are done. Not staying to help the people who helped
you is incredibly rude and is not tolerated.
6) Lying: Why
would anyone lie, unless they are covering up for something they have done?
Thus, if you caught lying to sect members to cover-up an infraction, you will
be booted from the sect immediately. The best policy is to tell an elder member
your infraction and we will deal with it, or simply leave.
7) Clicks: This
is perhaps the hardest thing for any group/clan/allegiance to deal with. All
too often certain people will become close friends and soon only deal with
those friends, thus forming a click. The problem is that new people are ignored
and will see no reason to stay. This goes against the whole point of having a
clan, we are here to help each other. Remember we are one big family not a
loose collection of groups. So, no one should ever be ignored.
5)
Ganking: Ganking comes in may forms, here are a few examples:
1) Portal
ganking: This is when someone has just used a means of transport and is
helpless until the new area loads on their screen. Thus they are an easy kill,
because they cannot defend themselves.
2) Low level
ganking: This is simply purposefully killing someone who is a much lower level
then yourself. They cannot hope to win, thus provide you with an easy kill.
3) Group ganking:
This is when a group of people band up to hunt down solo or much smaller groups
to get easy kills. This one does not apply to open battles, where the other
person knowingly puts themselves into a fight. Basically, you know it when you
are doing it.
Obviously, these
fall under the realm of sportsmanship. So, if you are playing in a way that is
very unsportsmanlike you will be asked to leave the sect.
Now, this applies
to a group member initiating the ganking. If, you have any of these things done
to you, all bets are off and other sect members are even allowed to help you
hunt down the villain. But, remember it applies to the offender ONLY!
6) Ninja Looting:
This basically falls into two catagories:
1) Taking what
does not belong to you. This can happen where someone takes loot that they did
not work for. For instance, say a chest is guarded by a couple mobs, someone
comes in and attacks the guards, then as they agro the last mob, someone rushes
in and loots the chest. Or a party is fighting a boss mob deep in a dungeon and
is pretty much assured to have good loot. Then as the mob dies, a member of the
party rushes in out of turn and grabs the loot.
2) Basic greed.
This is when someone simple does not recongnise that they are part of a group
and need to share. It's pretty basic, but yet some will just loot and loot
without taking turns.
Both of these examples are a bootable offence.
These rules are
subject to change at any time, so please check this page from time to time.
These are also not the only means by which you may be removed from the sect,
but you can only be removed from the sect by an elder member. If you play in a
mature, cooperative and sportsmanlike fashion, you should never have any
trouble.
