Devil's Flame - The Rise and Fall of a Hero ~ Continued...

Determined to test out these powers she felt, Devil’s Flame hit the streets in pursuit of crimes in progress.

She ran the streets, looking for anything she could vent her frustrations on. Everyone she passed gave her such a look of disgust. She new that her physique was not very appealing, but figured that would only help with the upcoming battles she would face.

Paragon City was in need of Heroes, and with her twist of fate in life, she figured she could fill those boots! But for how long and at what price… this was the nagging feeling she had as she pounded the pavement.

So entangled in her own thoughts she almost tripped over a mugging in progress. Seeing her chance to test out her powers, and prove to herself that this hero gig was for her, she began to concentrate.

“Hey Freak! Mind your own business, before I make it my business to do it for ya!” the thug overseeing the mugging stated upon her arrival.

“What? Damn, can’t these tights leave us alone for a simple bash and run?” the second blurted as he turned to run, purse in hand.

“I’m gonna bust you up, you f….” the sentence trailed off into the wind as the overseer’s mouth dropped as Devil’s Flame’s eyes began to burn. Hands burning, arms rising, she began to angel towards the one with the purse.

The air began to sizzle, heat began to emanate from this hero, the pedestrians and criminals all were beheld with horror and awe.

Then it happened, bolts of reddish orange shot from her hands. It felted like Jets were fly by those the bolts passed, shirring the air with ash and burn smells. Then it hit the thug, one while just taking the purse, next while running away.
